| Minutes of the Previous Conference, March 20, 2004 Approved Budget and Assessments for 2005 Approved Resolution Approved WHEREAS the South Central States Mission Center has certain reserve and investment accounts invested in the World Church Affiliated Investment Pool, and WHEREAS, the World Church recommends spending plans, based on the long term rate of return, for these investment accounts that are not used to fund operations, and WHEREAS the Mission Center has accounts that are not dedicated to funding operations, therefore BE IT RESOLVED that the following spending plans be adopted: 1) An amount of $300 be authorized annually from the Chad Tillman Memorial Reserve to help fund youth camps. The assistance to be in the form of fifty dollar scholarships. Application to be made to the Mission Youth Minister or, if vacant, then to the appropriate camp director. 2) An amount of $5,000 be authorized annually from specified Mission Center Reserve accounts to help fund youth camps, reunions, Winter Field School, Congregational Leaders Workshop and other such sanctioned events. The assistance to be in the form of fifty dollar scholarships. Appplication to be made to the Pastor of an individual's congregation then forwarded to the Mission Center Financial Officer with the Pastor's recommendation. AND BE IT ALSO RESOLVED that the congregations of the South Central States Mission Center be encouraged to match all such awards with the goal of encouraging greater participation in Mission Center and World Church events. Peter announced that the guest speaker at the next Mission Center Conference scheduled for March 19, 2005 would be Grant McMurray, president of the Community of Christ world church, and that the guest speaker at the Mission Center Conference scheduled for September 24, 2005 would be Apostle David Schaal. Adjournment Conference adjourned until March 19, 2005 or at the call of the Mission Center President. |
